description Tinney Flat Campground is located in scenic Santaquin Canyon, just 9 miles from town at an elevation of 7,000 feet. Visitors enjoy fishing and exploring local trails.
drivingDirection From I-15, take Santaquin exit 244; go east under the freeway and turn south. Follow the road into Santaquin Canyon/Forest Road 014 for 6.5 miles to the campground. The road is paved but steep and narrow. From Payson, take the Nebo Loop Scenic Byway south approximately 12 miles to the Santaquin Canyon turnoff. Follow the Santaquin Canyon dirt road west approximately 7 miles to the campground.
facilitiesDescription The campground contains three group sites that can each accommodate up to 50 people. Sites are equipped with picnic and serving tables, campfire circles and grills. Vault toilets and drinking water are provided. A campground host is on-site. Roads and parking spurs are paved.

nearbyAttrctionDescription The Mount Nebo Wilderness Area is adjacent, brimming with beautiful mountain scenery, pristine waters, abundant wildlife, vibrant summer wildflowers and numerous trail opportunities. The Nebo Loop Scenic Byway stretches 37 miles through high alpine terrain, dense forests and colorful meadows. Devil's Kitchen Geological Area can be found along the loop. It offers a 1/2-mile round-trip trail to interesting red rock hoodoos.
